We are at the point of the year where I find myself wanting to just batch share all of my Project Life spreads. Are you ready??
My book is only about 4 weeks behind. There are also some holes I need to go back and fill in. The goal is to be finished with 2014 in 2014. But I don’t really stress about it.
For now, I want to go back and share some spreads I “finished” and photographed. Daylight is a big problem right now. I might have 30 minutes with sunshine before I leave for work in the morning. Or I might have 30 minutes of dreary. And then that’s it. It’s dark at 4:45 and I’m home at 5:30.
My Saturdays will now be filled with photographing my album on the balcony like a crazy person.
Going back through the weeks I photographed, I decided I might skip some for now. I want to share everything, but I only have five-odd weeks, and I want to make sure I share some of my favorites.
So this update will include… weeks 20, 22, 23, and 24.
This is Project Life 2014: the weeks of May & June.
Week 20: May 12 – May 18.
WEEK DETAILS | Lots of little details from my last apartment. I know I enjoyed it while it was happening. It was so cozy and quiet. And now, I’m so glad to have these little shots. P.’s sister had her wedding shower. I had lunch with a friend’s mom. And we celebrated my niece’s first birthday.
SCRAPBOOK DETAILS | Just photos and journaling cards! I do like the alternating blue and orange. I tried out using them for little titles. I don’t love it.
Week 22: May 26 – June 01.
WEEK DETAILS | I can only share what I remember… (More frequent updates next year?? Maybe. But it hasn’t happened so far.) I remember fixing that light rice cake breakfast at my desk at work a lot of days in a row. My dad wrote a packing list for their trip to the shore. On his paper, he wrote “the Kristen method of trip packing.” I love it. P. and I had an awesome, short picnic.
SCRAPBOOK DETAILS | The picnic was the most colorful part of this quiet week, so I decided to enlarge a random photo of knees and landscape. I love how simple it turned out. Swapped out a 3×4 piece of the photo for a journaling card.
Week 23: June 02 – June 08.
WEEK DETAILS | My birthday week! All the (few) details came from the festivities, plus a packing up photo and a photo about my move to the self-hosted blog. :-)
SCRAPBOOK DETAILS | I liked the full page photo cropped to fit the pockets, so I use one two weeks in a row. Little bouquet of flowers came from my parents for my bday.
Week 24: June 09 – June 15.
WEEK DETAILS | This was moving week! Had our official walk through. Took some days off work. I remember it being stressful and I was a little out of it. But so excited. Saturday, we got some brothers and cousins together for the move. I supplied the coffee.
SCRAPBOOK DETAILS | Nothing exciting. In real life, I love the red theme. It didn’t quite translate to the photos. Lots of square Instagram snapshots. I love the image from our s’mores picnic.

About Project Life | Project Life is a memory-keeping system created by Becky Higgins. I choose to document life weekly. You can see all my Project Life posts here, and details about my album here. I am using the Jade core kit this year and Design A pocket pages. My favorite tools for getting it done each week are my Canon Pixma Pro-100 printer and my 15″ Rotatrim paper trimmer. They’re massive but awesome.
