The Fourth of July weekend was full of barbecues.
We started out at the parents’ on Friday poolside. We held it off and waited until the rain stopped to get started, and then we celebrated with a beautiful, dry afternoon.
I made a light dessert with angel food cake, crushed pineapple, sugar-free vanilla pudding mix, and light cool whip.
It was a Weight Watchers dessert and it went over well.
My sister’s dessert was much more festive.
There were also red wine spritzers. Which sounds classy, but it’s really just 5-minute sangria.
By the end of the party everyone was pretty content.
Saturday, we celebrated a little more with P.’s family.
This kid stole the show.
He’s not so bad.
