Clearly I’ve been wavering on my “favorite” easy goals method. I like something quick that I can allow myself to forget about without too much grief. Small exciting goals that I care about in that moment.
That said, weekly goals were sort of a joke for me. I don’t know if it’s just me, but in seven days, I’ve barely opened up my original list to see what I want to work on. A month just feels more believable.
And for these — simple goals to share on the blog and make my current interests and hopes more intentional — I want to go back to my word for 2014: enjoy. For me, outside of the work week, and in this moment, I want my time and my focus to be about slowing down and enjoying.
I get too wrapped up in everything else that just doesn’t matter. These seven goals feel just right for that plan. Though admittedly, most of them don’t really come into play until the second half of the month (hello, new apartment).
And why not start a new plan for goals five months into the year? Psh. We’ve got more than half a year left.
P.S. I did pretty well on my May goals! Sleep is still an issue. But I’ve been cleaning the apartment, drinking a ton of water, and I’ve been about 50% (which is totally a B-) with tracking my food in My Fitness Pal.
