I was planning to write a post tonight about apartment cleanup / clear out. I use the word “planning” loosely. But instead, since I haven’t actually gotten anything done tonight, here are some highlights from Monday.
I’m watching the HBO series Girls. I can’t watch it when I’m nervous or bummed or overthinking, because it hits a little too close to home. But for all the other times, it’s awesome. Believable (apparently that was up for debate), and sometimes, it cracks me up.
Hannah’s guy Adam makes me sort of uncomfortable, but I also like him bad. His character is responsible for little gems like this:
You can download a high res 3×4 image here. I think it would make a pretty rad filler card for Project Life.
I made dinner tonight! Then I was feeling encouraged to do some ridiculously short meal planning.
This week’s menu:
✗ Monday: Gardein orange chik’n with snow peas.
✗ Tuesday: Teriyaki salmon and veggies.
✗ Wednesday: It’s a special day, and I’m not sure if I have plans.
✗ Thursday: Mexican bowl with black beans, tomatoes, corn, and quinoa.
✗ Friday: Oatmeal with lots of fixings.
While waiting in the checkout line at the grocery store (for all of 40 seconds, because I was in the express lane), I impulse-bought Cooking Light magazine. The cover! “The Fast Issue. Every recipe under 25 minutes.” You could relabel this the only cooking my kitchen will ever see.
Directly opposite of that, I also acquired this bag of Hershey’s chocolates. Have you heard of this stuff?? Extra creamy milk chocolate with toffee and almonds. I don’t usually dig Hershey’s. But this stuff is awesome.
I had a slightly stressful few days at work, running something new I haven’t done before. And it wrapped up this morning! Celebration.
