and it was incredible. i miss days off. i vow to start taking more of them.
we fit a lot in during this long weekend namely, a lot of relaxing.
on thursday night, we bowled.
fun fact: i was on the bowling team in 8th grade. another fun fact: i did not break a 90 throughout our three games.
friday, we celebrated our awesome away-from-work day with indian food for lunch. and wine at 1:00 pm. i wish every day was a friday off.
we went to the movies to see divergent. (i hated the movie. but i still love the book.) i wore my new favorite target scarf. it is my favorite even though the ends look like they were cut with kitchen scissors and it sheds all over me.
we kicked off “spring” weather with our first rita’s trip of the year. it was raining. and not warm. but boy, i can feel good weather just around the corner. rita’s gelatis will be my summer treat. below: cotton candy. next up: mango.
i did a lot of excellent paper trimming. thanks a lot, elise, for making the rotatrim look so darn desirable. (ps, i could not be happier.)
the awesomeness that was friday stuck it out through the weekend. saturday is a blur, obviously, since 5 days have gone by already and i have no photos to remind me. sunday we got incredible chinese food at our favorite restaurant. i always take a ton of photos when they seat us by the windows.
i ordered the sesame shrimp.
let me restate my goal, one more time: i need to me more mindful when i am out to eat. it is so easy to always feel like it’s a celebration. but, it’s a process. and along with my bad decisions, i’ve made some good ones, too.
the weekend rounded out with renting the wolf of wall street. it was ridiculously long, and sort of meandered. but it was still better than divergent. it was pretty risque, but i’m pretty easy going about that.
and now, we’re up to thursday. it seems like this is always the day of the week i end up finishing a blog post. it must be because i’m so excited to see another friday & the weekend! happy thursday, kids.
