here we go! it’s week one of project life 2014.
week 01: december 30 – january 05.
this week was my week off from work. we celebrated new year’s eve at my brother’s house. my mom and i visited hobby lobby and got crafty. e.p. and i got sushi. i knit a scarf.
i didn’t use any extras on my spread this week, but i love it. i’m loving the jade edition. though even without extras, it’s almost overwhelming. there at 50 designs for journaling cards! so then 50 designs for filler cards. i wrote out a list of tv shows i’m addicted to right now. seemed a little weird to include that, but i love seeing those miscellaneous favorites in other people’s albums.
i also cropped down a 12×12 striped paper to make diagonal lines. i love this space for journaling like elise used.
i’m going to try sharing a download today! i created a 4×6 design in photoshop elements that looks like the paper i cut down. that way i can customize the color, and not waste another sheet of 12×12 paper to turn stripes into diagonals. (side note: i adore playing in photoshop. i’ve just never talked about it on the blog until now. i’m thinking i’ll start talking about it more.)
i haven’t done this before, obviously, so hopefully it works. the links will take you to the files in dropbox, then you just click download. if you don’t have photoshop, the .jpg file is available as a black and white to print. it’s sized to 4×6, but you can probably stretch it, since it’s just graphic lines.
if you have photoshop, the .psd file will allow you to customize your line color.
quick instructions | highlight layer 1. go to edit >> fill layer. make your color selection. check the “preserve transparency” box. done!
please let me know if you have any questions. :)
