oh. man. this is it! i can’t believe it’s possible, but i’m more excited for this crazy marathon project than i was at the start. i have a new collection of stuff for 2014, and i can’t wait to begin. ridiculous, since it’s a continuation of this 2013 project. but it feels fresh. and the binder is much less heavy. ;)
this is project life 2013: the weeks of december. (!!!)
week 49: december 02 – december 08.
this week was the week of the gigantic printer. i’ve been eyeballing a fancy home printer (yes, for project life, because i am insane), and i just went for it. there is a large rebate, if and when that arrives in the mail. i ordered the canon pixma pro-100, extra ink cartridges, and a lot of on-sale canon paper (8.5×11″ and 13×19″ – because it can print that big!!). i have been hooked ever since.
the insert is cut out from the newspaper. e.p. and i had some trouble with a turkey the week before. and then i learned that he was friend-not-foe, and likes people. he made the paper with my landlord the very next day.
week 50: december 09 – december 15.
i’ve been following ali’s blog, and her december daily project. there was no way i was going to attempt a second scrapbook-type project if i wanted any hope of continuing this gigantic album i’m working on. but these last 3 weeks of 2013 were all about the festivities and cookie baking and holiday spirit. so i feel like i was right there with them.
i ventured to the mall sunday morning. i hate crowds. and any type of shopping away from the computer in december. but i went so early, it was a great time, complete with a caramel macchiato. and the rest of the week was a. lot. of. baking.
week 51: december 16 – december 22.
more holiday festivities this week. santa visited the diner during breakfast saturday morning, and i got started on gift wrapping.
i found some 3×4 designs online to print out for the pockets (to test my printer, obviously). and i created a little 6-photo grid in a 4×6. love the white borders.
i also finally decided what to do with my plastic dividers – seasons, instead of one every month. it was easiest to type them on paper and glue them on, instead of trying to use the stickers. i call it good.
week 52: december 23 – december 29.
week. fifty-two. incredible!
this week just happened. so bizarre, considering my slacker process. it was christmas, with all of the traditions that includes. christmas eve at my brother’s (though this year it was lasagna instead of chinese take out). christmas morning at my parents’ by 7:00 AM with coffees and a hot cocoa for my mom. i’ve been off since wednesday. and it has been good.
and that’s 2013. i kind of can’t believe it.
here’s my last page.
i might add some embellishments or notes. but i am beyond happy with the papers and photos together. simple, and done, and moving on.
here she is! :)
i’ll be updating soon with my plans for 2014.
