beginning note: happy friday the 13th. this has always been a good/lucky day for me. fingers crossed the streak doesn’t get ruined.
so thanks almost entirely to an amazing new printer, i am waist-deep in a project life marathon. aside from the incredible photos, it’s so convenient to be able to work on small chunks of the project and see where i’m getting.
i’ve been working on it a little bit almost every night for a week or two, and i’m so close to the end of the year. i also took 177 layout photos while at my parents’ house yesterday, because they have sunlight, and the apartment does not.
so, i’m thinking i’ll share these in month chunks, instead of trying to come up with 50-odd posts of weekly layouts. hopefully this isn’t project life overload. but even if you aren’t interested in the project, just consider this a month-long recap of my year.
this is project life 2013: the weeks of february.
week of: february 4 – february 10.
i can’t believe how long ago “week 6” was. is this ridiculous to share in december? i don’t think so. i had a great time showing my mom every week on our couch, after christmas cookie baking yesterday.
week of: february 11 – february 17.
and i’m thinking now, maybe i won’t share every week on the blog. because some things feel personal and like i want to save them for myself. but these flowers… they need to be shared.
week of: february 18 – february 24.
i’m also wondering where i will find the sunlight to take these layout photos next year. (oh yes i’m planning to do project life again in 2014. it is the only project i’ve stuck with in a long time.)
week of: february 25 – march 3.
i didn’t finish this layout for months and months. that’s the beauty of working on this project in 3 bursts throughout the year; it was no problem to wait until i had an idea. i love that grey + orange pocket. but it was probably created 7 months after the week ended. also, this absurd delay goes to show that the american crafts slick writer is not really photo-safe for the long haul. it did not start out as a yellow highlighter.
and that’s february.
