as is my tradition, i stretched my birthday celebration out as much as possible. i went to dinner with my parents and e.p. on my birthday. i remember requesting several celebratory things from e.p. throughout the month. he obliged.
my other birthday dinner was he + me, and the best italian restaurant i know, luna rossa in turnersville. i’ve mentioned it here + here, to say that we both always get the same exact thing. he: the lasagna, + she: the fettucini with monte rosa sauce (brandy blush sauce with spinach + mozzarella). there was simply no going back for either of us.
i’m linking up with jenn at peas + crayons for what i ate wednesday.
it’s byob, and i’m usually in charge of picking up the red.
their house salad dressing is incredible. but i have no idea how to describe it.
and then, we get to it. e.p. probably shouldn’t get lasagna anywhere else because of how much he loves it here.
and the monte rosa sauce. i know i use a lot of words that mean delicious here on this blog. and things are always “the best.” but if i was only allowed one thing to eat for forever, i choose you, monte rosa fettucine.
so that was my birthday dinner celebration with e.p. in june. last week, we did the same thing. except we met a few friends. we ordered the same things. i didn’t take out my camera because we were busy talking + drinking. but really, you can just see above.
after that dinner, the main event was back at e.p.’s house. he played lumberjack all week (seriously, chopped logs + made firewood), and set up for an amazing bonfire.
it was perfect. and really teaches me that it’s good to be a brat + request the longest birthday ever, year after year. ;) but i think everyone else had a good time, too. s’mores were had, merry was made.
i guess now that it’s september, i’ll wrap it up. though i do believe i am owed one more happy birthday song.

i’m linking up with “blogtember” this month, hosted by jenni at story of my life. sometimes i’ll be following her prompts, and other times i’ll just be celebrating daily blogging. i hope she doesn’t mind.
