i’ve officially been going to weight watchers for four years. i know it’s my anniversary because i joined just after my birthday. doesn’t really seem like 4 years, though.
i got to my goal weight… whenever that happened. and then i got back to it, after it got away from me.
for the past year, i’ve been interested in it, but not really committed to it. and i’ve been struggling with an extra ten pounds since last spring. so i’m trying to commit to tracking again. i don’t feel too positive about it yet, but only because i’ve really just started + don’t have any success to be excited about yet.
so today for “what i ate wednesday,” i photographed everything + wrote it down. i definitely won’t be sharing all my meals on the blog, since i think it could lead to negative thoughts, but it was a fun challenge today.
started out with a mug of coffee like usual, 1/2 cup unsweetened soymilk + 2 splenda. predictable + perfect.
prepped while watering my flower! a friend surprised me with this 2 weeks ago. true story: i didn’t think to water it until 2 days ago. do i wonder why i can’t sustain any vegetation?
i was trying to do well with planning + prepping for the day, so i got breakfast ready to cook at work. i decided to plan more points than usual, to see if it would keep me happy longer with less snacking. i remembered i’d bought some pecans.
but this was 3 points?? sort of ridiculous, but i wanted to try.
once i fixed it, it looked more impressive. 1/3 cup oats, cup of almond milk, whole banana, vanilla, cinnamon, and the broken up pecans.
it was delicious! 7 points (instead of a usual 3-4), but it felt like a full breakfast + it did keep me pretty happy.
i also gathered up ingredients for lunch at the parents’. 2 slices of toast, an egg + 2 whites, and 1/2 an avocado. topped with ketchup. obviously
e.p. brought back a big pack of twix from wawa, and i decided i needed chocolate. i had 2 small cookies.
but i didn’t snack on anything else at work in the afternoon. usually that is my downfall. small success, since i already had some junk food. but it felt pretty good.
dinner was light but tasty. lots of brussels sprouts with some brummel + brown. and a grilled chik’n patty with laughing cow and crushed tomatoes. the grilled patties aren’t as great as the breaded ones, but i wanted to try them, and they aren’t bad.
and then, i headed to dunkin donuts to meet fran! we were having a small camera introduction (she bought a canon rebel, so we’re basically twins).
she treated me to a small hazelnut latte. decaf (i think for sure, since i’m pretty sleepy right now) with skim milk.
we played around with settings, and i found B+W.
it was a very nice night of catching up. and i tracked everything + only went over my daily target by 1 point. definitely a successful weight watchers day.
i bought a moleskine over the weekend to try out a new notebook for tracking. i’m really digging it.
