i am documenting the everyday in 2013.
i’ve been following a few bloggers doing project life [here’s an explanation] in 2012, and elise got me hooked. mama got me the goods for christmas, and i’m excited to get started and try it out. i know i fizzle out on a lot of things. but i take so many photos all year long, and i like photo albums to be from events. i think it would be fun to have a different medium for sharing the typical things. i’d love to have this years later to see where i really spent my time, and what made me happy in between the trips and birthday parties.
here is my title page. it feels so corny [and it was just awesome to pick up all these self-portraits at target last night]. but i think when it’s all together, it will be so fun to have.
my weekly layouts will be monday – sunday. the plan is to choose my photos and print them in-store at target, ideally on monday [which means i could share my week on tuesday].
i chose the clementine core kit. a few of the pieces aren’t my style, but i love the overall colors and patterns.
i went for the orange clementine binder, too, after considering the black one. this way i can ID 2013 if i stick with this for a couple of years.
i’m using design a page protectors so there’s some sort of order to it. i don’t want to set any rules from week to week, so this way, it will still look like the same project in december.
i found all my fonts for free through fontsquirrel.com.
i love elise’s quote cards. and i definitely love quotes. i found megalopolis extra for the same block effect, but a little more personalized [i take so many of her ideas, but i’d hate to copy someone else’s project].
for titles, and photo captions, and everything in the world — lobster two. it’s beautiful. and so much better than the original.
if i want to do any bigger chunks of text, i’m planning to use amaranth. it’s simple to read, without being too boring.
corner rounder — fiskars 2-in-1 corner rounder
paper trimmer — fiskars 12″ paper trimmer
stamps — i love & today is stamps from elise | leafy vine & bracket place card stamps from paper source
ink — staz-on for glossy photos | color box chalk for a muted, matte look
washi tape — from michael’s, cute tape, moose art, target
paper — 3×4 project life grid cards [i think these will be used with reckless abandon throughout the year] | wausau 8.5 x 11″ cardstock [i’ll trim this down to 4 x 6 for backgrounds, and it was a lot cheaper than the clementine 4×6 stock].

and that’s it! hopefully i love the first week like i loved playing with the title page.
