how’s everyone making out this week? monday isn’t so bad when it’s almost the holidays, right?
i’m just getting myself to thursday right now. i’m looking at a four-day week >> two-day week >> three-day week. :-)
sunday, i met up with my old roommate to have a little date in princeton. it’s halfway between us. and i love princeton.
we didn’t meet until around 3:00, and we started at triumph brewery.
i got the same thing i got last time [and the photos were so much better] — their mushroom burger [mushroom, not burger] with provolone and onion rings and sauce and arugula, + a nice green salad. amazing. the other triumph location has a veggie burger with vegan bacon strips. but let’s not be picky.
we also got the “red sangria.” it tasted a bit like vodka, which shouldn’t be in sangria for me, but i also wasn’t picky about that.
after we were done sipping and catching up for a while, we went outside to walk around. the sun had gone down, but the town was still bustley and it was still adorable. i asked to go in lululemon because i’d never been in one before. the pants were comfortable, the shorts surprisingly had underpants built in, and everything was just as expensive as i had dreamed. i was considering buying an intense yoga mat from them, but i wasn’t sold when i saw it.
we also went to the lindt store, where the cutie working there called me delightful and gave me free chocolate. he had been a theater major. it was meant to be.
then we settled in to halo pub. halo was a dairy near our college that seriously — seriously — had better ice cream than ben + jerry’s. it was something like $3.00 for 2 pints. and we seriously ate a pint a week our sophomore year.
this time, we picked a scoop of our favorites — eggnog for her and pulverized m+m’s for me — with a latte [her] and tea [me].
it was such a good night in princeton. next time we’ll have to go while we have more daylight so we can walk around. but the town was gorgeous for the holidays. there was a huge lighted tree outside with decorations throughout the streets. it was too cold after halo to pose with anything. but you can take my word for it.
