just a few more instagrams… i’ll get tired of it, again, eventually. it’s just so dang fun.
halloween started out with some “instant irish oats.” not sure what that means, since they usually take 1/2 an hour, but they were good, and microwaved in one minute. topped with some thawed peach slices and blueberries. first real + healthy breakfast at work in weeks!
for dinner, we celebrated with our halloween tradition — tomato soup and grilled cheese. mine had some american + mozzarella, soy deli ham, and tomato. exquisite.
followed by a little bowl of ice cream with a crumbled reese’s cup and fluff. fluff and ice cream is amazing. i feel like a lot of people would be put off by fluff… not me.
my nieces came to visit in their costumes. the littler one was a box of tissues, and the bigger one was a nightstand. my sister said they were surprised a day before halloween when she stuck with her statement: “we aren’t buying costumes this year.” hahaha. pretty cute, though. it’s the first time ever the littler one smiled for a photo without running away. AND hugged everyone willingly before the left. it was a good visit.
and then we had zero trick-or-treaters. my town stuck with the governor’s suggestion of monday night, because of the hurricane last week. it was so eerie; no one was out in costume or walking around. my dad still insisted on sitting on the porch for two hours in the cold. ;-) it’s all about tradition.
yesterday EP and i got wawa for lunch.
i ordered tomato soup special in the morning, but by the time i got to leave my meeting, they had run out. at least everyone else got to enjoy my special request… lunch was still lovely. i do love sandwiches.
EP got our favorite number.
happy post-election day to everyone that voted!!! :-)
what i ate wednesday is hosted by jenn at peas and crayons. go take a look to see what it’s all about!
