i shared my photos from the aquarium sunday. this is what i ate.
“what i ate wednesday” is hosted by jenn at peas and crayons. if you have time, go browse the link party and get some good ideas.
we woke up and fixed ourselves some breakfast on my new whole foods english muffins — honey wheat. i’ve been on a thomas’ multigrain kick for years, but i decided to branch out from my very small tree. they rock. they’re soft and toasty at the same time, and made with whole wheat.
another banana scramble sandwich for me, this time with syrup, and pb2 underneath. i stole a lot of EP’s buttered [earth balance-ed] english muffin pre-cinnamon, and it was incredible. so i decided to eat a pile of banana scramble and have 1/2 with just butter.
scrambled eggs with mozzarella for EP, and a cinnamon sugar english muffin on the side.
we walked around for a few hours, and couldn’t decide what to do for dinner after the aquarium. we were going to make something for a change, but i mentioned california pizza kitchen and he was completely on board. we’d only been once before. excellent idea.
we split the tortilla spring rolls – mediterranean veggie for me, and baja chicken for him.
caesar salad for him, and house salad with dijon balsamic vinaigrette for me.
then came the pizza. my pizza addiction these past few months is out of control. it has been my favorite food since probably kindergarten. but i am currently a hot mess over it.
i got the five cheese + tomato thin crust. spectacular. EP got hawaiian, per usual. [and this is where i notice how crazy my depth-of-field was for these photos. yes, one tomato in focus! ;-) ]
then we “shared” the hot fudge chocolate cake a la mode. i use the word share loosely. he ate his entire pizza, so i almost had the dessert to myself.
happy what i ate wednesday!
