the cat’s out of the bag

my worlds are colliding. yesterday morning, excited to look at my wordpress dashboard, i told EP about the blog. i hadn’t officially told him i’m a blogger. in fact, no one really knows but fran, because i talked to her a lot when she was getting started.

i mentioned it to my parents a couple of years ago, but they shrugged it off. i think they were confused. i know a couple of my friends would tease me about it. but i don’t know why i feel like i’m not supposed to talk about it. i thought EP would tease me. i just didn’t know if it would be cute like always, or a little worse. he said before he didn’t understand keeping a journal, so i thought he might feel the same about blogging.

a small quote on the matter —

You have no idea of the magnitude of this thing. If she is allowed to infiltrate this world, then George Costanza as you know him ceases to exist! You see, right now, I have Relationship George, but there is also Independent George. That’s the George you know, the George you grew up with — Movie George, Coffee shop George, Liar George, Bawdy George.

If Relationship George walks through this door, he will kill Independent George! A George, divided against itself, cannot stand!

like averie said, and of course i completely agree, it’s pretty nutzo to talk about someone in your blog frequently, and not show them what’s up.

well, EP, now you know.  :-D

i showed him, and he clicked around for a few minutes at older posts. [he likes looking at pictures more than words, so i think i’m safe.] he said if i’m into it, it’s cool. and then we got ready for the aquarium.

[adventure aquarium in camden.]

clearly, relationship kristen and blogger kristen are two little peas in a pod. now i don’t have to fret, and i can share all the photos i’m excited about with EP as soon as i blog.

these little guys wrap their tails around the grass to stay put. i never thought about how seahorses navigate —

this next photo might be my favorite —

except, there were also penguins —

it was a beautiful day. i was pretty miserable in the beginning, because i gave up a perfect-weather-day on saturday, and we couldn’t go pumpkin picking or walk through a corn maze. but i think we’ll try to again in a couple of weeks.

it barely rained while we were there, and we strolled around outside after the fishies.

and even though he looks like he’s humoring me, this was really, really his idea —

EP is off on a semi-vacation this week. he will be flying to hawaii tomorrow. i’m pretty sad that i’m not accompanying him. but it wouldn’t have been a me + he vacation, and it’s a pretty expensive flight. i just have to get through one week.

It’s something you Like…Love…Enjoy…He should not be negative about you trying to express yourself. So there, I said it!! You’ll get through the week. Looking forward to this evening!! ;-)

love seinfeld. I forgot about the quote, and it just appeared in my head when I was thinking about this post.

very excited for tonight! I haven’t had a good barnes & noble excursion in a while.

the week is getting pretty tough already… :-/ I know it’s not a big deal, but I can’t stop feeling sad about it.

Isn’t it so weird you can put so much of yourself into your blog and those close to you aren’t aware of it? I am not sure what friends and family think of mine, or even if they read it. I am always surprised when people know what’s up with me and then I realize ‘oh yeah, they must read my blog’.

I always hesitate when I’m saying “oh, so you were xyz yesterday. … I read it on your blog.” like someone would be annoyed that I read something they decided to share. it always sounds awkward! hahaha.
