right now, I’m just not a daily blogger. that could change someday, but for now, I need to remember that I’m doing it because I love it, and not because I’m making myself keep a schedule. I think that’s all it comes down to when I blogged before, and gave it up: I set rules for myself, and I really don’t like doing that. my personal life, at least recreationally, doesn’t need a schedule that ever feels like a hassle.
so perhaps I should remove the ultimate blogging challenge button on the right for the month… but I think I’m going to keep it. I hope it’s not breaking the rules. I’ve still blogged more in the first 2 weeks than I usually do, so I’m still glad I tried it out, if only to remember how I like blogging best. :p
let’s move on to a random subject [aren’t they all?]: stationery.
i am very excited about project life. i can’t decide if i want to jump in for these six months of 2012, or wait until 2013. i’m probably going to wait and start fresh. i’ve got enough ways to document things to make it through, i think, even if i did create a full week’s layout in my head that it’ll be sad not to actually have.
regardless. i’ve been geeking out pretty hard over this idea. i’ve already started collecting supplies. like i said, project life doesn’t really seem like scrapbooking to be. there’s less cutting + pasting + mama stickers. don’t get me wrong; i think it’s a rad project for mamas, but it doesn’t really fit my style. project life seems sort of like a blog plus journal plus photo album, all rolled together. i would still keep photo albums for the big events, but i love the idea of having something like an album, with words, to document week-to-week life.
* this is washi tape. i’ve been searching etsy for it after learning from elise… it’s just pretty, decorative masking tape, made with japanese rice paper. i want to put it everywhere.
i’m going to try to simmer down about picking things out, since i’m not starting for 6 months, but i’ve been really nerding out over stationery + supplies, more than anyone should [well, maybe sarah would understand. hahaha].
* and this is a photo corner rounder i bought from jo-ann’s… after the rest of what i ordered comes in, though… that’s it. did you know martha stewart makes avery labels? ;-) i am like a little unstoppable craft supply tornado right now…
