[i had no idea it had been this long. i was just talking to fran about my on-again-off-again blogging habits. i love the process. and then i forget it for one day, and i don’t go back.]
anyway, happy may! it’s going to be an exciting month for me. full of relaxation and happiness. ;-) (more on that later. you know, if i remember to blog… so disappointing.)
to jump in to the blog, i thought i would try something new – a “what i ate wednesday” post! bloggers join jenn at peas and crayons to post their eats and look around. (if i do any buttons or linking wrong, my kindest apologies.)
i started off the day thinking i really wanted to have a full day to share. and i did it! the capturing also included a few new iphone apps… shockingly. i’m going to get to it, because i should be asleep, as usual.
lunch did not look very appealing. EP and my papa asked a few questions… but i had it a few times last week, and it’s still hitting the spot, in spite of its pea-soup appearance (i don’t see it, but a coworker guessed).
in the bowl: rolled oats, almond milk, pumpkin (libby’s 100% pure), 1/2 scoop vanilla sun warrior protein powder, cinnamon, & splenda.
apparently i was into chocolate today… they were both smaller than normal, so it was a wash. and the skinny cow clusters were good. i heard lackluster things about the wafer bars, but i wanted to go buy more of these right away.
dinner was thrown together before hot yoga class (!!!).
this is actually less than a full serving of whole wheat pasta, with asparagus thrown in for the last half of the boiling time, topped with olive oil, balsamic vinegar, parmesan cheese, and a scoop of hummus that i made myself yesterday. it wasn’t too heavy… but it was still a lot considering the type of class it was.
yoga was incredible. i’ve tried maybe 3 other hot classes, one this time last week. this one was the first time i feel like i got the experience i wanted… lots of quicker flowing, very warm and … humid. that’s the polite way of saying i was sweating more than ever. ;-)
that about wraps up my tuesday. i had a couple of other small snacks, but they were more the mindless, tummy-growling fixes just before i ate for real. looks like i didn’t try for the wiaw “extra cup of veggies”… but it was better than i do some days.
