i had a blissfully perfect weekend. i’m not taking it for granted…
the weekend before, i was pretty low. i didn’t make any plans, i struggled to leave my apartment, and i cried a lot. i think it was just a very bad funk. when i’m in a sad or crappy mood, i also stop blogging. i realized (probably while it was happening) that nothing very big was wrong, or terrible, or unfixable. i just couldn’t pull myself out of it.
but i don’t mean to dwell on that… i just mean to say what a stark contrast this incredible weekend was.
so this past weekend – a three-day weekend to be exact – really did seem like bliss.
going through the photos i want to share, i’m going to break it into two posts. easter will come next.
so let’s talk saturday. EP and i took a drive down the shore!
we went to the cape may zoo.
EP made eyes at the turtles.
i thought the zebras were adorable.
and i think this photo is one of my favorites.
we stopped off so i could buy sea isle beach tags for the season, and then trekked over to the ocean city boardwalk for some photo-taking, hand-holding, and manco and manco’s (their name changed this winter, but they are exactly as delicious).
it was just what i needed. :-)
