happy spring! i know, i missed saying it by two days… but it’s still new, and it’s still awfully exciting.
i don’t think this is typical for the first four-odd days of spring —
but i’ll take it.
i rang in the season a little early at a friend’s housewarming.
it was complete with m&ms from her boyfriend:
printed with a photo of her mom’s puppy. perhaps the cutest puppy ever (sorry, breena).
and the most inventive bottle-opening i’ve ever witnessed:
everyone brought wine, and everyone wanted to drink wine, but no one had a corkscrew. whoops. her boyfriend went to work in the other room with some screws, some pliers (i think), and a power drill.
a power drill.
surprisingly, we all drank wine! hahaha. it was perfect.
also to ring in the season, i cut up a bunch of delicious pineapple. i don’t like to commit to the task very often, but it was really, really worth it. i ate it for the past four days, and polished off the bowl yesterday. i think the size is deceiving in this photo. it was a lot of pineapple.
because they are wonderful. instead of the banana + PB from last week, this one was like cait’s breakfast stacks. i knew i wouldn’t be able to deal with it when the yogurt all fell off the sandwich, so i just dressed them up side-by-side.
- two low-fat eggo’s
- container of vanilla chobani
- tbsp of chia seeds mixed into the yogurt
- whatever syrup i found in my parents’ cupboard
i missed free water ice day on the 1st day of spring, but i decided it was ok because of how much i crave gelatis this time around. i’ll wait until the lines are shorter and i can get just what i want at full price. ;-)
