i have been busy doing not much this past week. the 3-day weekend was not nearly enough time to really get into the holiday, but hopefully two of those weekends will work.
christmas eve included a visit at my brother’s house, and an impromptu meal of chinese food when our original tradition fell through. we drank wine and spent all evening together.
christmas morning, i was at my mom and dad’s by 6:20, coffees and hot cocoa in hand. we spent the morning laying around, opening presents, and drinking delicious coffee.
life-sized sheldon was a huge hit with my parents.
i picked up the hunger games (a little early for my 2012 reading plans), and could not stop reading it anytime i had a free minute. ridiculous premise, but it sucked me in. i’m only mildly annoyed about the ending; still loved the book. (i just found out the second book revolves around the same characters! i thought it started fresh. happier about it.)
last night, i decided to just take a peek at one of my presents. this ended at midnight, a little cross-eyed, but having too good a time to realize how exhausted i was. (at midnight, i crawled into bed, and decided to read for 45 minutes. genius.)
but, i got LIGHTROOM!
i have no idea what i’m doing with it, but the few minor updates i made got me really excited to keep playing with it.
i spent the evening at my parents’ again, to see if i could keep feeling the holidays. we watching national lampoon’s christmas vacation, since we hadn’t yet this year! and my dad and i made festive drinks – they’re called nuts & berries.
and now, it’s probably two hours after i should have been asleep. this time i feel it, though. so i’m closing lightroom, and definitely not starting a new book tonight.
